Alterations Associate – Bliss Bridal Salon
Fort Worth, TX · Part-Time or Full-Time (Weekend Availability Required)
About Us:
Bliss Bridal Salon is Fort Worth’s largest and most well-known bridal destination, serving brides since 2008 with a reputation for exceptional service, private appointment suites, and designer gowns from “Yes!” to “I Do.” We are now expanding our team to include an Alterations Associate – a key role supporting our in-house alterations studio, Bustle & Hem.
Position Overview:
The Alterations Associate is a highly organized, service-oriented individual who thrives on details and enjoys being the hostess of each fitting, providing support and reassurance to brides throughout the alterations journey. This role requires both warmth and precision—ensuring fittings feel seamless and celebratory while keeping schedules, communications, and gown progress on track.
Ideal candidates have a basic understanding of garment construction, sewing, or pinning and are eager to learn more. During fittings, you will host the bride, answer any questions and assist her with shopping for accessories such as earrings, veils, Boombas and more to complete her look.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and host brides during alterations fittings, providing support and guidance throughout the process

Act as the point of contact for all alterations inquiries

Schedule fittings, follow-up appointments, and final try-ons using salon scheduling software

Communicate with brides regarding preparation for fittings, pricing expectations, and gown readiness

Assist seamstresses with simple adjustments as needed
- Assist the bride with any accessories she might request during the fitting process

Manage gown progress and fitting timelines to ensure readiness for wedding dates

Assist with gown check-in and pick-up for alterations clients

Collaborate closely with seamstresses and stylists to ensure a smooth and joyful client experience
Key Skills & Requirements:

Previous experience in client services, hospitality, or retail environment

Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor with a true love for helping people

Basic knowledge of garment construction, sewing, or alterations terminology (willingness to learn more)

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay calm under pressure

Experience with CRM, booking, or salon management software a plus
Schedule Requirements:

Weekends are our busiest booking days and are required

We will accept weekend-only applications, but weekday-only applicants will only be considered if applicant is skilled in pinning and creating bustles
